Maqolada ota-ona va o‘smir o‘rtasidagi munosabatlarga ta’sir etuvchi ijtimoiy-madaniy omillar hamda ularning psixologik xususiyatlari tahlil qilinadi. Tadqiqotning dolzarbligi zamonaviy jamiyatda oilaviy munosabatlarning o‘zgarishi, o‘smir shaxsining shakllanishida ota-onaning tarbiyaviy pozitsiyasi, muloqot madaniyati va ijtimoiy muhit ta’sirini chuqur o‘rganish zarurati bilan belgilanadi. Ishning maqsadi ota-onalik fenomenining psixologik jihatlari hamda o‘smirlik davrining xususiyatlarini ularning o‘zaro bog‘liqligida aniqlashdan iborat. Tadqiqotda tahlil, tizimlashtirish, taqqoslash va umumlashtirish kabi nazariy metodlardan foydalanildi. Natijalar shuni ko‘rsatadiki, ota-onaning tarbiyaviy uslubi, oiladagi emotsional muhit va ijtimoiy-madaniy qadriyatlar o‘smir shaxsining shakllanishi, emotsional barqarorligi hamda ijtimoiy moslashuviga bevosita ta’sir ko‘rsatadi.
