Mazkur maqolada o‘zbek tibbiy terminologiyasida uchraydigan muammoli holatlar lingvistik va amaliy nuqtai nazardan tahlil qilinadi. Xususan, terminlarning ko‘p variantliligi, sinonim va dublet shakllarning mavjudligi, ortiqcha o‘zlashmalar, tarjima jarayonidagi noaniqliklar hamda standartlashtirishdagi kamchiliklar yoritiladi. Shuningdek, tibbiy terminlarning ilmiy aniqligi, qisqaligi va tushunarliligini ta’minlash masalalari muhokama qilinadi. Tadqiqot natijasida o‘zbek tibbiy terminologiyasini tartibga solish, yagona me’yoriy tizimni shakllantirish va terminlarni milliy til imkoniyatlari asosida takomillashtirish zarurligi asoslab beriladi.
