Maqolada A. Xodzkoning 1842-yilgi tarjima qilib nashr etgan to‘plamidagi “Go‘ro‘g‘li va Bolibek” dostoni “Alp” (erkin qahramon) va “Bek” (vassal ierarxiya) konsepsiyalari asosida tadqiq etiladi. Go‘ro‘g‘li va Bolibek to‘qnashuvi shunchaki jang emas, balki ikki xil ijtimoiy etika erkinlik va saroy tartiboti kurashi sifatida talqin qilingan. Muallif Xodzko qo‘llagan “ritmik proza” uslubi turkiy jangnoma an’anasini G‘arb ritsarlik odobi bilan uyg‘unlashtira olganini ilmiy asoslaydi.
