Mazkur maqolada axborot bilan ishlash kompetensiyasining tarixiy shakllanish jarayoni bosqichma-bosqich tahlil qilinadi. Unda savodxonlik tushunchasidan boshlab, axborot savodxonligi va zamonaviy kompetensiyaviy yondashuvgacha bo‘lgan evolyutsion rivojlanish yo‘li yoritiladi. Shuningdek, axborot bilan ishlash kompetensiyasining ta’lim tizimidagi o‘rni va uning pedagogik ahamiyati tarixiy nuqtayi nazardan asoslab beriladi. Mazkur tadqiqot natijalari axborot bilanishlash kompetensiyasining mazmunini chuqurroq anglash, uni shakllantirishga doir zamonaviy yondashuvlarning manbalarini aniqlash hamda pedagogik amaliyot uchun muhim ilmiy xulosalar chiqarish imkonini beradi.
